Das klingt aber dann doch sehr nach Sabbat oder vielleicht sogar speziell Black Hand :/

Ich hatte gehofft, dass nach der neuen Edition jetzt ein "gegenpol" auftaucht... naja, mal sehen, welche hints da noch rauskommen

Bereits verfügbare Informationen zu SoC:

First 'VTES 3rd Edition' Expansion
Scheduled for February

August 17, 2006
White Wolf will release the first expansion for its new Vampire the
Eternal Struggle 3rd Edition, which was previewed at GenCon (see "White
Wolf Plans GenCon Releases"), in February. The expansion, titled Sword
of Cain, will be a 60 card set.

White Wolf has been pleased with the initial response to VTES 3rd,
according to company spokesperson Kelley Barnes-Herman. The company
distributed over twice as many retailer prerelease kits as it expected
to, and preorders for the September 6th street date have been good, she
said.

Ich kann mich dunkeln erinnern, dass mal irgendwer gesagt hat, dass die sich um 60 neue Karten (d.h. keine Reprints) handeln soll. Kann das jemand bestätigen?

Was mich interessieren wuerde ist, welcher Gruppe die Vampire angehoeren werden.
Wahrscheinlich werden einige Group 5 Vampire auftauchen, oder?

Gute Frage! Da die Anzahl der Sabbat Vampire aus Grp 2 und Grp 4 (für die einzelnen Clans) bereits nach der 3rd annähernd übereinstimmen (Hardy kann/wird dir die genauen Zahlen nennen können

), denke ich auch, dass es auf Grp 5 hinlaufen wird (und natürlich wird es deshalb einen Aufschrei in der Newgrp geben

)!

Ich hoffe mal, dass nach der SoC Expansion auch die Reihen bei Laibons etwas aufgestockt werden bzw. es mal den einen oder anderen OOTB-Anarch-Vampir geben wird. Black Hand gibt es mit SoC mehr als reichlich ...

GRJoyceGreenholdt Reports: White Wolf Publishing has announced that the next expansion for the Vampire: The Eternal Stuggle collectible card game will be Sword of Caine, a booster-only set scheduled for February release.

Sword of Caine holds close to the Third Edition base set. The 60-card expansion focuses on the same Sabbat clans found in Third Edition, but this time with a special eye on the Black Hand. It introduces more Black Hand vampires, including new Seraphs and an Abomination, to V:TES, as well as new toys for Black Hand vampires and new ways to become Black Hand.

The set also includes cards for other vampires to use (Sabbat or otherwise), including new Discipline-based cards, clan cards, sect cards, and general-use cards. Even Joseph Pander, the "founder" of the Pander clan, puts in an appearance.

Sword of Caine contains no reprints. As with Third Edition boosters, Sword of Caine will feature cards with special draft effects to aid deck construction in draft and sealed play.

Allerdings denke ich eher, dass es doch Group 4 geben wird - wenn wir annehmen, dass SoC 20 Vamps haben wird, und die sich auf 10 Sabbat-Clans (plus eine Abomination) verteilen, erhöht sich die Zahl der Vamps pro Clan nicht sooo drastisch...

Und selbst das ist noch nicht fix. Die Qualitätssicherung hat viel Zeit in Anspruch genommen und sie wollen sicherstellen dass es mit allen pre-releases klappt.

Die Verteilung in der 3rd Edition, sowie die Qualität der Karten haben doch sehr zu wünschen übrig gelassen!

Die ersten Spoiler (aus dem Game Trade Magazine), die im Internet herumfliegen, listen dann doch 2 Vampire aus Group 5...
