Wie kommen Anfänger an Karten?

Der Titel sagt schon alles: Habe hier (Papenburg, leider nicht GÖ) zwei neue Mitspieler gefunden, die ganz heiß darauf sind sich nen ordentlichen Stock an Karten zuzulegen. Leider sind die bei Zilles 2800-Karten-Auktion überboten worden und suchen jetzt nach Alternativen, um an Karten zu kommen.

Ich habe denen erstmal empfohlen sich ein paar Starter zu holen und von da an weiterzumachen und nebenbei noch auf ebay-Auktionen zu hoffen. Außerdem werde ich noch einige Karten an die abtreten, die die ich halt ohne Schmerzen entbehren kann.

Wie seht ihr das? Was würdet ihr denen raten? Sollten die doch lieber versuchen günstig an 1 oder 2 Displays zu kommen oder war der Tipp mit den Startern vllt gar Mist? Wie seid ihr damals angefangen? (Ich selbst habe auch mit 2 Startern Ravnos angefangen und spiele mein Sensory Deprivation-Deck immer noch gerne.)

Um mal Johannes zu zitieren: Starter, Starter, Starter. Du hast also völlig Recht.

Selbst ein irrer (weil zu editionenvernarrter) Ästhet kann das immer nur wiederholen.

Die 3rd ist ganz gut um sich einen Kartenstock aufzubauen. Da ist das meiste drin. Lücken kannst du hier http://www.rickvtescards.com ganz gut auffüllen. Der macht gerade Ausverkauf (kaufe 4, zahle 3. Mußt ihn aber darauf hinweisen

). Da sind viele Schnäppchen dabei. Die teureren Vampiere solltest du da allerdings nicht kaufen. Die sind meiner Meinung oft zu teuer. Abgesehen von den Anarchen kann man auch alle anderen noch erhältlichen Starter empfehlen. Besonders der Tzimisce, der hat nämlich einen Warghoul und ein Breath of the Dragon drin (beide sehr wertvoll zum tauschen).

Wenn du nur 3rd kaufst, dann brauchst du noch deflections und Governs. Das ist fast das einzige was fehlt.

Ja, Starter sind schon sehr gut. 3rd und BH für Sabbat, KMW und Legacies sind auch OK, wobei Legacies evtl. zu Anfang nicht sooo sinnvoll ist.

imho kann man generell aus 2x den gleichen Starter ein kompetitiv erfolgreiches Deck bauen, da man die wichtigsten Karten und Vampire mehrmals bekommt. Ich selbst habe mit 3 Lasombra und 2 !Brujah Starter vor ~1 Jahr angefangen, und finde die Decks die ich damals zusammen geschustert hatte nicht schlecht; natürlich hatte ich noch etwas Hilfe beim Deckbau nötig, aber dafür sind "Veteranen" ja immer netterweise bereit.

Also ich hab mir damals mit zwei Bekannten zusammen einen 3000 Karten Deal von ebay zugelegt. Mit so einem Vorrat hast du später immer genug Karten um mal ein neues Deck auszuprobieren.

Ich habs ähnlich gemacht, bei meinem ersten Pack von ebay (waren "nur" 700 Karten, aber die enthielten unter anderem einen Warghoul (damals konnte ich den nur noch nicht verwenden und hab ihn daher weggetauscht)
aber damit konnte ich mir erstmal was bauen.

Mittlerweile hole ich mir gezielt bei ebay, was ich so noch brauche, wenn man ein bissl sucht und Geduld hat kann man da einige Schnäppchen machen..

Hab den beiden jetzt empfohlen sich je 2 Starter von einem Clan ihrer Wahl zu holen und ab jetzt auf ebay-Angebote zu achten. Grad rief einer an und sagte, dass sie jetzt endgültig bestellt haben.

Also wieder 2 in Verdammnis gezogen. Der Nächste bitte!

Im Moment gibt es auch die Prerelease-Kits zu ordern. 2 Displays für normalerweise um die 90 € sind schwer zu toppen.
