Fifth Edition: Lasombra

For clan Lasombra, the only way to survive is to excel, to eschew sympathy and morality where it may impede the path to power. They seek more than the simple life, choosing to fight against the odds and to strive for the pinnacle of excellence. Sociopaths, counter-culturalists, and scarred survivors all find common ground in clan Lasombra.

This deck is about power and manipulation. Your vampires use their powers of Dominate to gain influence and subdue those who oppose you. They keep their motives hidden with the powers of Oblivion, seeing the darkness from the other side and coming back stronger.

This is a deck with 77 library cards and 12 crypt cards, ready for play out of the box or customizable with other Vampire: The Eternal Struggle cards. Each player needs a deck to play.

Kurze Verständnisfrage zur "neuen Disziplin" Oblivion, da ich den "Anschluss" an aktuelle Gegebenheiten verpasst habe und nun an der Menge der Änderungen nicht hinterhergekommen bin. Und mein einziger Threat im vekn Forum nicht sehr aufschlussreich war.... (==> https://www.vekn.net/forum/search?query ... ldforums=1)

Oblivion ist nun die "neue" Disziplin für die "neuen" (Camarilla) Lasombra und Giovanni.
Obtenebration ist für die alten bzw. Sabbat Lasombra).

Das heißt, bei beiden Disziplinen handelt es sich um eigenständige Disziplinen und nicht um eine "Neuauflage/Zusammenlegung bzw. Verschmelzung".

Kurz => wer Oblivion hat, beherrscht damit NICHT Obtenebration und umgedreht oder?

Will sicher gehen, dass hier nicht ein Zug an mir vorbei geht, oder ich was Missverstanden habe.

Es handelt sich um eigenständige Disziplinen.

For Araceli “Celia” Rivera we once again thank Ken Meyer Jr for joining the artist team behind a new set of VTES cards – poignant illustrations in his own style as usual. You find Celia in the Fifth Edition Chicago by Night book.

For Ominous Chorus we thank Anastasiia Horbunova for the creepy art. Last up was Camarilla's Iron Fist, now she is really hitting it again. Note that this card is a clan card, thus playable by any Lasombra regardless of capacity and disciplines, even little Celia can do it. And its both an action modifier and a reaction!

• Preview season of the Fifth Edition Lasombra preconstructed deck set for October release is ongoing. If all goes well those of you that visit the Spiel game fair in Essen, Germany will be able to get your copies there.

• The (hopefully) last round of playtesting of the Hecata preconstructed deck as well as the five 54-card New Blood packs for Hecata, Lasombra, Ravnos, Salubri and Tzimisce concluded on August 31. Now the answers from the playtesters will be analysed and the last tweaks will be made.

Same card, different name: Puppet Master

The card Puppet Master appears in the upcoming Vampire: The Eternal Struggle Fifth Edition Lasombra preconstructed deck. This is to be considered as the same card as the previously printed card Mind Rape. The old card is still legal for tournament play.

Man kann nicht erst die eine Karte spielen, dann Freak Drive, und dann die andere Karte.

• When you read this you might already sunk your claws into the Fifth Edition Lasombra preconstructed deck – the official release date is October 31, so the official legality date for the new cards is November 30.

• The last art and final text editing is being done for the Hecata preconstructed dec. Then it´s off to the printer - the aim is to have it in stores in January.

• Other projects are in progress: 2025 Fifth Edition Sabbat preconstructed decks are moving towards a second round of playtesting soon, the Hecata preconstructed deck will hopefully be in stores in January, the five next New Blood packs (Lasombra, Hecata, Ravnos, Salubri and Tzimisce) are planned for late first quarter next year.

Another preconstructed deck is now at the print shop, and we would like to do another preview from the upcoming Fifth Edition Hecata preconstructed deck. The fantastic art is by Francisco Tébar, depicting a character from the "Trails of Ash and Bone" sourcebook for Vampire: The Masquerade. The Hecata crypt card template is by Ginés Quiñonero.

• The Fifth Edition Lasombra preconstructed deck is now in stores, and legal for tournament play since November 30. One of those fancy 1-page strategy guides is available now.

• The Fifth Edition Hecata preconstructed deck preview season is ongoing, and the product page will be up soon at Blackchantry.com. The deck is scheduled for a January 2025 release.
