Battle Arena

Die englischen Vampire-Spieler machen da im Moment was ganz witziges:
Battle Arena (so'ne Art Vampire-Quickie). Hier mal die Regeln, gezogen
von http://membres.lycos.fr/britvtes/forum/index.php (da gibt's auch ein
paar Zweikaempfe zum Angucken).
Rules:
1. Only Vampires and Library Cards existing in Vampire: The Eternal Struggle may be used.
You and your opponent agree to a capacity which you use in the fight. (for now, 5 caps only)
Both vampires must be of same capacity.
The Actual Crypt Capacity of the vampire counts, not the "In play
effect" capacity. Example: Tariq, The Silent. He counts as 7 cap.
2. Your hand must have 7 cards. Nothing but combat cards or equipment
cards may be used may be used (you know, the red cards).
b. Weapons brought into play via the use of Concealed Weapon or
Disguised Weapon have a cost in blood equal to X + 1, where X is the
printed cost in blood or pool for the specific item and that cost is
payed with blood from your vampire.
c. Combat cards that count as equipment while in play, such as the
Weighted Walking Stick and the Zip Gun, do not cost blood.
3. Start a thread at the Battle Arena forum, and send a PM to the
forumID Battle Arena straight away so that the fight can be
started as soon as somebody steps up (and not the next one you pop
around). The PM must clearly state what cardes you chose for a
hand and which one is the vampire of your choice. The PM shall
have the same topic as you chose when you started a thread so it's
easy to tell what game you use the stuff for.
The Battle Arena forumID randomly decides who goes first (and is
thereby the active player and having first priority throughout the
rest of the game) after both you and your opponent has posted hand
and vampires.
b. When you finish a fight, the winner must report the result to
Kitzune in a PM (subject line is the matchs topic, just like when you
PM your choice of warrior and hand). Just a winner and a looser will
do it.
4. Gameplay.
Throughout the fight, state clearly at which level you play the cards
e.g. Immortal Grapple at superior; Rigor Mortis (Pre)
Additionally, when using rather obscure cards (i.e. Mythic Form), it
helps to post the text of the card. Can always ask good old Battle
Arena by PM for a reminder to be posted.
Throughout the matches, taunts and assorted trash-talking are more
than welcome. If you need some inspiration, check any match with
Robtreasure, Sausage Master, mgreen02.
Use these following turns during the combat round:
Vampires have now access to the cardless strikes:
-Strike: this striking vampire burns two blood to become Anarch. Only
usable by a non-titled vampire
-Strike: this striking vampire burns one blood to become Black
Hand. Only usable by a sabbat vampire
Before/Pre Range - Each player play cards during the before
range-step, with active player going first, whitch is true for the
completecombat.
Range - Determine the range, starts at close unless a card states otherwise.
Pre-Strike - Imortal Grapple step
Strike - Determine your strike.
Strike Resolution - Prevention, etc
Press Step - To press for or against. Each turn will have an
automatic press for next round, but can be canceled with a card.
Post Pres Stepp - Playing Taste of Vitae and stuff.
5a. The winner is the one that send the opposing vampire to torpor first.
b. If both minions enter torpor during the same strike resolution the match is tied.
c. If the match is ended by a CE either player must reset or the
player playing CE has lost the game. Similarly, should a player press
to end with no one resarting combat, said player looses the fight
(and gets to be called a wuss)
Banned Cards:
Undead Persistance
Rowan Ring
Erratas:
Improvised Tactics: Playable during any round
