Geneva, May 2005

Fellow Kindred,

It is both an honour and a pleasure for me to announce the greatest event held in my domain this year. Indeed, a consequent gathering of Methuselahs has been scheduled for July 30, 2005, at the occasion of the Swiss V:TES European championship qualifier (ECQ). This is the first international V:TES event to be held in my domain and even in Switzerland, and therefore my utmost effort and attention has been given to make it a success for everyone involved.

The Swiss V.TES community is very small at the moment, for no real effort at promoting the hobby has been made until lately. However, since my late praxis seizure in January 2005, a dynamic and efficient team has been directly intervening to change that conjuncture. I hope you will assist in that effort by showing interest in my domain’s activities and by positively answering to my open invitation to the above mentioned event.

EasyJet serves the Geneva International Airport for cheap transportation, and so does an extensive rail network. Lodging is already prepared, so that low priced adequate havens will be available to all. If you see fit to answer my invitation early, I can personally make sure you will receive help in your travel plans. Anything is possible, as I like to remind myself.

The actual hosting of the gathering will be co- ordinated by my dear Setite Primogen, dudley. You may make direct contact with this highly esteemed member of my council for further information and assistance. To answer my invitation, please indicate your full name and VEKN number on the following thread, kindly hosted by my French counterparts, due to my profound lassitude with technology.

Yours Sincerely,

Amiel
Prince of Geneva

P.S.: I have chosen English as the most convenient medium of communication to communicate this invitation. I am certain I can count on the language experts of each domain to duly translate. Thank You.

My first comment:
This event is not listed under the sanctioned tournaments at the WW web site, so: When will it be confirmed?

I requested the sanctioning last week. As WW says, it can take up to 3 weeks.

However, Steve Wieck has been personally contacted on the subject, knows and agrees of it.

I can insure it will be sanctioned.

Thank you for the concern.

Isn't that great? Players from Switzerland and Czech Republik get in touch via the German Forum. Ahh, the Internet. Sometimes it makes really sense...
