Baali rush/bleed

So.... Giotto...

Right now I'm looking at something like this:

Deck Name: Giotto Multirush/bleed
Created By: Tobias
Description:

Crypt: (11 cards, Min: 7, Max: 28, Avg: 4,00)
---------------------------------------------
4 Giotto Verducci DAI for OBF pot pre 7, Baali
2 Lolita for pre 3, Toreador Antitribu
1 March Halcyon for 1, Pander
1 Angela Decker pre 1, Pander
2 Tom for pot san 3, Blood Brother
1 Frederick the Weak pre 2, Brujah Antitribu

Giotto is the man, obviously. Might even include 1 more of him. The rest of the vampires have been selected for for/pre mostly, and also sabbatness, to allow a little pool gain through hunting/hungry coyote/blood doll.

Library: (90 cards)
-------------------
Master (18 cards)
5 Blood Doll
1 Depravity
3 Fame
2 Fortitude
1 Giant's Blood
2 Haven Uncovered
2 Hungry Coyote, The
1 Jake Washington (Hunter)
1 Presence

Action (20 cards)
3 Ambush
3 Bum's Rush
1 Concordance
2 Contagion
3 Harass
4 Legal Manipulations
4 Social Charm

Rush/bleed, basically. Contagion makes the rest suffer as much as I do, and Concordance adds hand damage and a little defense, though I'll yank it in a flash if someone has a better suggestion.

Action Modifier (17 cards)
4 Aire of Elation
10 Freak Drive
2 Mask of a Thousand Faces
1 Psychomachia

The mask and psychomachia are to keep the table guessing a little.

Combat (30 cards)
4 Conflagration
8 Disarm
8 Immortal Grapple
5 Skin of Steel
5 Superior Mettle

prevent-grapple-disarm primary offense, conflagration backup.

Equipment (2 cards)
2 Flak Jacket

Cheaper on Giotto's blood than those prevent cards.

Combo (3 cards)
3 Ritual of the Bitter Rose

I'm hoping there'll be vampires in torpor with blood. In that case, I'll send over a disposable weenie.

Comments very welcome... I'll also be pondering a weapons variant...

10 freak drives is too much (from my experience, cut down to 7-8 ). Probably 2-3 Swallowd by the Night, instead ? I would also get rid of 1 Hungry Coyote and an Archon Investigation. What about Gregory Winter ? One of my all-time favourites in combat decks ...
This deck is also instantly killed by a Pentex Subversion (just like about every other mono-vampire deck).

And on it goes the endless search for even a mediocre playable Baalideck :) . I think, it is nearly impossible to build, although I have to admit that this one seems to be good fun. But is it good enough for a tournament?

The old problem is the poolgain for not tapping of Giotto. You manage to get some pool through the blood dolls, but will this suffice? With Contagion you hurt the others as well, but this is random as you hurt your allies also and you can't control it. Maybe the others have better poolgain possibilities.
This deck could work but you don't have any bleeddefence but hitting vampires in torpor. And even that is hard for your vamps if their opponents have even just a bit of maneuvers or damage prevention all is lost  . And real good combat decks will get Giotto with just 10 preventioncards.

What I really like are your three Fames. I have to add some more in my combat decks.

I think the Rituals will not help you. Get some Conflagrations for that.

Maybe I'm so fatalistic because I caught a cold again, damnit :? . So please don't take my critics too serious.

I'd really have to try to see what happens. But the new spoiler on path of evil revelations might help the baali a little (although not this particular deck).
